  • Can I shoot anywhere in the building?

    The answer is YES! Just remember that it's a shared space with other workers in the building, so we cannot guarantee access to any specific areas. We will only be taking bookings up to fashion in the communal area; we suggest bringing your own batteries-powered equipment.

  • How much do you charge?

    Shoot at Zavod from as little as £40 per visit! The rate includes access to the main studio, communal areas, free WiFi, hot drinks and equipment in the studio. View our full pricelist here.

  • Can I setup before my allocated booking?

    Because we book the studio out throughout the day, we do not offer early access for loading and setting up, so please bear this in mind and book additional studio time if required.

  • What equipment do you have?

    We have a selection of props, chairs, paper and canvas backdrops and lighting equipment. The full list can be found on the equipment page.

    We have been preciously adding to our equipment collection and hope to have more with time - if you have any suggestions for the future, let us know.

  • Where do I park?

    There is a carpark for those who visit Waverley House (where we are based). If the carpark is full, there is also on-street parking available. See our directions tab for more details and please research before you travel.

  • How far are you from the train station?

    Zavod studio is 15 mins walk from Sheffield train station. As we are located in the heart of the city centre, there are plenty of bus stops around us, making us accessible and easy to find for those who do not drive.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    We require an upfront payment to secure your booking at Zavod, this payment is non-refundable. You can rearrange your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your shoot, after that you will be asked book in again via paying a new fee. However, in circumstances where we are able to find a last-minute replacement of your booking, we will offer to rearrange to another date for free.

  • What happens if I accidentally damage or break any studio equipment?

    Any damage caused to studio property at Zavod will be charged directly to that individual or company. Remember, there is always assistance available on site and we prefer to change the backdrops and set/adjust the lighting for you to prevent any additional costs.

  • Are there toilets?

    There are separate male and female toilets available in close proximity to the main studio room.

  • Is Zavod wheelchair accessible?

    Zavod studio is located on the first floor of an old factory that was build aroud 80s. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the building there is no wheelchair access.

  • Can I bring children or animals on a shoot with me?

    We welcome supervised children and well behaved animals at Zavod. However, due to the industrial nature of the building, it is indeed not the safest environment for exploring. Responsibility of either will remain with whoever books the studio.

  • What happens if due to emergency on Zavod's behalf the shoot can no longer go agead?

    In case of emergency where we can no longer host your visit you will be refunded in full.
